Hi everyone

Happy new year and happy new hockey season 2024. The SWHL Committee hopes you all had a lovely Christmas and New Years break and are ready to jump into another hockey season.

A few things to remind you about before we meet on Monday 26 February 2024 for the first General Meeting of the season.

2024 SWHL Conditions of Play

If Clubs have suggested changes to the SWHL Conditions of Play for 2024 they must be submitted no later than 31 January 2023. If you sent changes at the end of last season please send them again as I won't have kept a record of them. Once we have any changes I'll collate them for the SWHL committee to review. We'll present the changes at the February General Meeting for approval. A copy of the 2023 SWHL Conditions of Play is attached below.

Club SWHL Delegates for 2024

If your club has a new SWHL Delegate or club contacts that you have not notified me of, please send their new name, along with their contact information by 16 February 2024.

New Club Administrator for SWHL Revolutionise Portal

If your club has a new club administrator for set up and load of teams into the SWHL Revolutonise portal, please send me their Name, Email Address, National ID Number and Date of Birth by 16 February 2024 so we can organise access for them. Clubs are limited to a maximum of two administrators.

SWHL February General Meeting

Reminder our first General Meeting for the year will be held on Tuesday 27 February (not Monday due to Taylor Swift concert at SOP)  in person face to face. I'm still to confirm the room but most likely it will be Eva Redfern (Above pitch 2). MInutes from the previous general meeting, correspondence and agenda will be sent out by the Friday before the meeting.

Season Start Dates

Reminder of the SWHL Opens and Masters key dates for the season.

Open's Competition:

• Start - Sunday 7 April 2023 – all grades. No Play - 9 June (Kings Birthday long weekend), U18s 28 April TBC, Masters Weekend 28 July
• Opens Semis: 1 September, Finals 8 September, Grand Final 15 September

Masters Competition:

• Start - Division 1 & 2 – 10 April and Division 3 & 4 – 8 April. No play - 10 June (Kings Birthday long weekend), National Masters – 24/26 June and 1/3 July
• Masters Semis: – Div 3 & 4 - 26 August, Div 1 & 2 – 28 August, Finals 9 September, Grand Final 11 September
